There is so much going on in the universe right now, and most of us know this a year for big change. With all this spiraling energy, what is one to do? The answer is quite simple, listen. Listen to your heart, it will guide you.
We all to often look outside for our guidance. We look to our friends, community, books, gurus, pastors, teachers, etc. forgetting that we are our best source of knowledge. Why do we forget to trust our own instincts? It could be the world encourages us to look externally for acceptance and validation, when really we must look inward. In fact, it is absolutely necessary to do this in order to live a joyful life. Only when we can accept and love ourselves just as we stand, can the richness of life flow in our hearts. It is at that moment when we love and accept ourselves, that we are able to share our love with our family, neighbors, and community.
According to Shakti Gawain, author and teacher of consciousness, “We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other people’s models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channel to open.
How beautiful, look inside of yourself and be yourself, this sounds simple enough and it is, however, because of our human condition we often find it difficult. We believe we need a plethora of external things in order to experience the joy of the universe, when all along we have it in our own heart just waiting for us to open. Additionally, the beauty of taking the time to listen to not only our own hearts, but to listen to others as well, will allow us to feel like the sun and grow in others direction and they toward you. When we hear one another, it all becomes a garden. Let your own genius shine today!
Appreciate the references to the garden-lots of growing opportunities with listening.

I appreciate this. A good way for me to deal with tough things is to start with, “be still and listen”
Probably the best thing I ever learned, in church of all places!
