Repetition is not failure. To fail is to give up and therefore stop growing. As long as you are making mistakes, you are learning lessons to apply to life in order that you may grow. Doesn’t that feel better than thinking about your mistakes as dire and unforgivable events? Look at nature, the repetition of the seasons, and the endless movement of the waves in the ocean, all a series of events that create a learning process as nature adopts and makes accommodations. This is what we humans need to do as well, learn to accept through repetition, to make accommodations, giving ample grace to others and ourselves in order to find growth. Growth is the key to attaining enlightenment and the only way to travel there is through the process of repetition. Don’t be so hard on yourself the next time you stumble along the path of life, give yourself permission to have made a mistake, learn and advance forward on the path to enlightenment. It is one of the beautiful gifts of life, to have this time to stumble, to learn, and to grow. Take your time on your path and savor every experience.
Repetition is the reality and the seriousness of life.
