Greetings, and thank you for taking a moment to read my blog. My name is Heather, and I am blessed with a wonderful life, just as you are because we are all alive on this beautiful planet right this very moment. I studied and obtained a degree in Art History with a minor in History, both of which I never used for their intended purpose. I made a choice, and had the option, to be a stay at home mom and raise two stepsons and my greatest blessing, my son. All are grown and out into the world. I was married for almost 20 years to their father, whom we unexpectedly lost in 2004. It was very tragic on a number of levels, which brought me to the point of wanting to share my voice with other women in particular. I am also a brain tumor survivor, having been diagnosed in 2002 with a meningioma. I have been tumor free since May 13, 2002 when I underwent a craniotomy, and life is good! As you see, my story, while different from each of you who read this blog, is not without a little rain, which is something we must all be able to shoulder and most importantly hold our voice and place in the universe while doing so. Admittedly, I was not always good at these things and I am still very much a work in progress. I am a Certified Instructor at Journal to the Self® and have been able to share this gift with The Grief Project at its Sacred Journey Gathering in Minneapolis, as well as for a local hospice grief group. I have also studied crystal healing under the guidance of John Corsa. Most recently, I obtained my 200-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and am looking forward to seeing where that path might lead me. I am fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful relationships, a strong spiritual practice, as well as a great dog, and if all else fails there is always chocolate and wine! Come along for the journey, and perhaps you will find some inspiration to claim your own voice. ~Namaste

Hello Wildflower Women, very nice to meet you on your/my journey to wholeness. Every journey is uniquely different, and yet the same. I read your voice and often think it is my own. We each find our own path, or perhaps I should say the path is presented to us, and we have no choice but to walk along it. And in the end enlightenment doesn’t care how we get there.
Thank you so much for visiting and for following our blog. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer.
Namaste

Thank you Alison for your kind words. I am looking forward to following your journey. I think it such a courageous act to shed yourselves of all your material goods and travel the world, these acts of courage are the very things that feed are souls.

Yes indeed they do, and no matter what we little humans think or do or want, in the end it is only the soul’s journey that is real.

I believe a great dog is essential for navigating the rapids in the river of life. A pure and uncomplicated love can be had with a dog.
Sure, humans are most important to us, and rank above other species on our most important love lists. These relationships are always complex, and clouded by individual feelings, random thoughts our brain spits out into our consciousness.
Dogs bring no such baggage. If you love them, they will love you back.
No words, no agenda, no apologies, no promises.
Just a constant, non-judgemental, unconditional love.
The kind of love we would all wish to give, and receive!
Seek peace,
Paz

Dear friend, I have nominated you for a Mystery Blogger Award. Here is the link https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2016/12/06/three-awards-and-a-thai-style-chicken/. You are not in any way obligated to accept, and I fully understand that not everyone has the time and inclination to participate in these self-and-others-promoting exercises. Therefore, I will truly appreciate if you accept the nomination, as I sincerely think you deserve it, but I won’t get offended if you don’t. Nominating each one of you is my way of giving credit to some exceptional bloggers and perhaps attracting attention to your work.

Your story of hope, over coming great challenges, and helping others touched me very much. Thank you! I noticed that you recently clicked “follow” on my site: again, thank you! I have a section on my site that is dedicated to stories of hope and with your permission I’d like to include a link to your story/site. I don’t have too many stories there (I justed started my site a month ago), but I hope you’d like to be included. Let me know if this is okay with you …thank you!
